Square, cushion cut amethyst stones with a sterling silver hat in a rope and ball design sit on the top and the bottom of the amethyst stone. Square, cushion cut amethyst stones with a deep purple color, have a width of 3/8 inches. On the top and bottom of the amethyst stones is a sterling silver hat that is done in the rope and ball design. The french hook ear wires are sterling silver and sport a ball and coil on the shank. The earring length is 1 1/2 inches. These earrings are fairly small but make a big statement simply because they are fairly large for real amethyst stones! They are simple and quietly elegant. Beautiful to wear to the office, a formal event or put these on when you need to dress western because nothing is prettier with turquoise than amethyst.
