Natural blue stones are difficult to find in nature. Kyanite is rather a new mineral on the market. It is a splintery, translucent stone which is said to align all of the chakras. It is the stone of atunement and is supposed to be good for communication and mental awareness. It is also said to increase psychic awareness. Most kyanite is a baby blue and has many dark and visible inclusions. I ran across this darker blue AAA gem grade kyanite from Brazil and knew that 2 Girls Bling customers would fall in love with the beauty of this stone. I put it in sterling silver frames and added a sterling silver toggle clasp on the bracelet. This toggle clasp is more secure than most, which is fitting for this very special gemstone. The bracelet is 7 1/2 inches in length and each of the sterling silver frames measures just over 1/2 inch wide. There are 7 kyanite stones in the bracelet. The earrings are in the same sterling silver frame. A special touch on these earrings is the addition of a smaller, matching kyanite gemstone on the sterling silver, french hook ear wire itself. The drop on these earrings is just a touch over 1 1/2 inches. All of the kyanite stones are oval in shape. This set has a distinctly western feel to it in my opinion.
