Modest and contemporary small earring that begins with a square of Australian Jasper that is 1/2 inch wide that falls from a classic french earwire. Dangling from the Australian Jasper are three small, bicone shaped Swarovski Crystals. Green is one of my favorite colors but green rocks are rather difficult to find which is why I love this deep green Australian Jasper and its shading of other colors that blend so well together. I picked out this square cut stone for a couple of different reasons. One, square cut stones are not as common as round ones and I like unusual things and I love the various greens and golds in the stone. Also the size wasn't so large to make it heavy but big enough to say, "Look at me, I am lovely!" After deciding on the Australian Jasper square cut stone, I wanted to pull colors out of the stone that would coordinate and give sparkle so I chose three colors of small, bicone shaped Swarovski Crystals to hang off the bottom. While I could have put them all in a straight line directly under the Australian Jasper, I decided that I wanted them to swing just a little whenever your head moved so I put a loop of sterling silver wire under the Jasper stone and hung the three warm colored Swarovski Crystals from the bottom. I also added a small ball of sterling silver under each crystal for a touch of light reflecting quality. When I saw this stone and the crystals together, I knew I wanted a sterling silver french earwire but I thought that a ball of gold on the shank of the earwire would play off the warmth of the Swarovski Crystals. This is a fairly dainty earring in length but it still has presence since it is more of a rectangular look because of the width of the Australian Jasper. The earring length is 1 1/2 inches and the width is 1/2 inch. They are lightweight on the ear and could be worn almost anywhere you could think to wear them.
